We are incredibly excited that our beautiful water cistern is now erected at Heron Hall – by RainBank Rainwater Systems. This 15,000 gallon silver beast, a Contain Steel Water Tank, will hold all of our water – and get us through our dry summers in particular.  Heron Hall is the first rainwater only house approved in Kitsap County – and the entire region.  We have no back-up water supply besides our cistern.

The rain will provide us with all our water needs.  Water is collected off our roofs and stored in our cistern – then it moves into our stair tower where it is treated by UV and carbon filters before going into a small buffer tank for daily use.  A truly zero impact water system – no fluoride, no chlorine, no residual drugs or contaminants in our water supply!
